A quirky poem about demonising and demonisers

Once a little demon

Is placed between the ears

All around are gripped to core

By horror-knotted fears.

Love becomes a badge with

Pin stuck deep inside the heart.

Parading hateless fury, tarted

Like a candy cart.

And when the poltergeist

Has been allowed the spirit’s home

The ones who claim domain of God

Allow their pain to roam.

It wanders over fields of love

Transformed to opposite

And dressed in garb of justice

Hurls itself into the pit.
